Doll's Festival '16

We celebrated Doll's Festival "Hinamatsuri" with wagashi (Japanese confectionary) and matcha green tea.

今年のひなまつりは、日本からの和菓子が手に入ったので、お抹茶と共に頂きました。

My daughter made "Hina Doll" with origami.

娘が折り紙で作ったおひなさまも飾って、、、

Peach flower is the symbol of Hinamatsuri.

マーケットで桃の花も手に入れて、、、

As we do each year on this day, we set up the "Hina Dolls" and ate Chirashi sushi.

We are blessed to be able to celebrate these traditional Japanese festivities, no matter where we live.

例年通り京雛を設え、ちらし寿司も作って、、、

異国の地でもそれなりに楽しんでます。
