Kaki Fry (Japanese Fried Oyster)
Ingredients (Serves 5):
1/2 cup Flour
2 Eggs (beaten)
3 cups Panko (Japanese bread crumbs)
Vegetable Oil (for deep frying)
1/2 cup Japanese Tonkatsu Sauce or Tartar Sauce
1. Rinse the oysters with salted water.
2. Dry oysters with paper towels.
3. Coat with flour, then beaten eggs, and Panko.
4. Heat deep frying oil to 350-375F and fry until golden brown.
5. Serve with Tonkatsu Sauce or Tartar Sauce.
